I've only hunted 1st and 2nd season down there and saw plenty of elk 1st season and not a lot of pressure. 2nd season was a different story - lots of hunters and not so many elk. My thinking is that they push over the ridge into the next unit once pressure increases.

2016年2月8日 · I have successfully mule deer and turkey hunted the unit before but haven't come across elk on the forest. I typically camp in a designated campground on the forest when deer hunting this unit in the past. Hopefully for 2018 would hunt the unit with an Elk permit, General Deer, and if lucky and Elk B license.

2016年11月20日 · Its full of elk but its also full of hunters. Utah hunters in that area love, and I mean love, to road hunt. For some unknown reason they believe the sound of a off road vehicle attracts elk. So unless you go deep expect to see and hear a lot of people. Usually by 3rd week of September the elk start to move on to private land.
