Microsoft Edge not syncing, stuck on "Setting up sync".
2022年2月24日 · I tried installing Edge Dev to my PC to see if sync worked there but it is also stuck on the same "Setting up sync" dialog. If it helps, I reset my Microsoft Account password a few days ago, but Edge sync was working perfectly fine until yesterday. I even logged out, logged back in and reset Edge twice.

Click the Sync option and select Reset Sync. In the dialog box that pops up, select Clear sync data on all devices. After resetting sync, re-enable sync to see if the problem is solved.

However, when I go off company WI-FI and onto cellular, the sync works fine and the status changes to "Sync is on". Its more than likely a problem with the company firewall. The IT admin always asks which port/url they need to open.

But the "Reset" pop up hangs as well with a spinning wheel. Interestingly, as I was signing out of my other Edge installations (e.g. on iOS), I added a new favorite as a test.
