I didn't even know Khalkha was a tag. I heard if the Empire of Tibet mechanics and missions when Mandate came out. I'd say people don't typically play Tibet because there are better powers in that region like the Mughals, Hindustan, Bharat, Yuan, or Qing. If someone is gonna play Tibet, it'll be for strictly roleplay reasons

Vassal feeding Nepal is good, and ally Ayutthaya later to replace Shan is also a good choice. I'm really surprised that Arakan has chinese tech, even though it has Indian culture and is Muslim.
