Unlike other ultimate abilities Sombra alerts her entire team regardless of distance from her that she had used her EMP. This is done by a radio transmission sounding "EMP activated." Sombra can start gaining ultimate charge after 5 seconds of using EMP. Sombra receives a small vertical boost from activating EMP.

2022年10月18日 · In OW1 you could hack her supercharger at least through EMP but otherwise not sure. If it helps, basically Sombra can stop ults that are channeled (Moira coal, Phara Justice, Reaper death blossom), but cannot stop transformation ults (s76 visor, Junkrat tire, Brig rally).

She can interrupt channeled ults (except for Transcendence; the invulnerability wins out) at any point and ults with a cast time during the cast time. The rest can't normally be interrupted with Hack, but EMP works against a few extra things. Breaking it down:

Hack disrupts channeled ults and not transformation ults; you can read about it on a fandom wiki site for this game. Hog’s ult used to be channeled before it was changed to transform, so hack used to be able to cancel it.

2023年8月4日 · IMO, EMP is one of the cheapest ultimates in the game, especially to watch in pro play. It really doesn't seem to have the same coordination requirements as OW1 with the added damage making the focus fire requirements a lot lower. I think those types of ults need to have good counterplay.

2022年11月23日 · It’s a very valuable ult that can easily turn the tides in a fight. Make sure to let your team know when you have it; sometimes you’ll be able to launch a coordinated attack with Dva bomb or Pharah ult, etc. + EMP which is super satisfying if pulled off correctly.
