It has turned into kind of a joke, so if anyone responds, they will add every cert they have as kind of a jab... Like "Sorry _____ I can't work for you Tuesday. -Signed _____

2004年11月13日 · At the ambulance corps, we use the EMD system, and that dictates RLS or no. Alphas are none, Bravos are lights/limited sirens, Charlie-Delta-Echo are RLS. I'd rather get there a little faster (but safely, of course), because "abdominal pain" could really be a GI bleed where every second counts. Or it could be gas.

(Personally, I feel EMD is one variety of PEA because of the many etiologies for "PEA"; wait for the film at eleven).

This would be a single medic response, meaning unless the dispatcher was on it and starts the fire truck, then there’a the delay in getting them there, then the delay of thinking through who’s getting the ice and how, those folks leaving and returning, etc..

2015年10月13日 · I work in a system that dual responds ALS and BLS to calls that get EMD'd as ALS criteria calls, and it's great, because the BLS folks get to do emergencies and see sick patients, and ALS (ideally) only commits to sick patients and gets cancelled to a lot of the nonsense, therefore being available for when the truly acute call happens.

2016年3月22日 · EMD is very effective when utilized properly. Unfortunately it's biggest flaw is the RP. EMD relies on educated, level headed people to be on the other end of the phone, and it also assumes that the person calling 911 has an actual emergency. IE; EMD wants to assume back pain is a AAA and not a chronic obesity issue.
