2015年4月5日 · I tried this (via an anti alias LPF) in the E4406A and the E4406A limited out at -136dBc/Hz at maybe 3-10kHz offsets. Not bad! The idea would be to use an external LO and mixer to make a fairly decent phase noise measuring capability if a coax relay was fitted here. Note: My E4406A has the 14bit IF module which will help here.

2016年9月20日 · The E4406A VSA *is* a Spectrum Analyzer (VSA = Vector Spectrum Analyzer, i.e. it uses FFT for spectrum analysis), however since it was designed for testing cell phone transmitters it comes with various limitations, like a max span of 10Mhz (or 100Mhz with the HSDPA software option).

2015年10月14日 · My system is WIN XP 32bit SP2, E4406A Hardware is FW A.10.08 If I use SCPI commands via telnet it works fine. Both TELNET and Socket ports are ON. I've tried fresh windows installation with 89600 V9.02, V11.21, V12.02 I'm sure that I'm missing something, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I just got this working so I thought I would share what was involved. This will allow one to use unsupported VSA software with their unsupported Agilent E4406A.

The 47 uF cap showed higher-than-normal ESR when cold, but was close to normal when warm. The 33 uF cap was almost completely open.

2008年12月8日 · The E4406A requires that you manually set an IP address. Using the 89601A software will allow you to demodulate many digital formats. Likewise, you can use the E4406A to capture I/Q data and use MATLAB to demodulate it. The E4406A has 1 mega sample capture memory and 8 MHz bandwidth.

2023年9月27日 · Hey guys, i've recently acquired an E4406A transmitter tester. Unfortunately it shows some unexpected behaviour: When i feed it a Signal at 800MHz (frequency doesnt seem to matter though) and 0dBm with the span set to 1MHz and the RBW to 20kHz (AUTO) a noise marker at +500kHz (left of the screen) indicates -120dBm/Hz.

2019年9月22日 · Thank you guys for sharing the information about the E4406A. I recently acquired one from Ebay. It is a very nice VSA but the flash memory on my E4406A is limited. I bought a used E4406-60060 CPU board that came with a flash memory card installed with it. I want to upgrade the flash memory card for it but it did not come with a utilities disk.
