My HVAC system will need to be replaced and money is my primary consideration. I have two options so far. The first is an 80% efficient Ducane (gas furnace and AC) system. The second option is a 96% efficient Goodman unit...it’s around the same price. Thing is, the unit will be sitting in a closet in our master bedroom.

2005年6月16日 · I'm trying to figure out how to read Ducane serial #'s to determine the age of a furnace. Usually it's pretty simple but I'm not sure on this one. the serial # is 7912530513 20551003 It looks pretty new and my best guess is the tenth week of 2003.

2005年6月9日 · The Ducane is a virual clone of the Carrier/Bryant cubes, which are a step UP from the Payne outdoor unit. Ducane's coils most likely come from the Heatcraft/ADP factories. Everyone seems to have a good opinion of ADP coil quality. Payne's evaps come from the US of Mexico and many have an opinion of them!

2018年11月5日 · Just got a quote for a new furnace and AC unit and the best quote came from a family friend who is offering either a Ducane system, or for $200 more, Armstrong. From what I can tell, these are both pretty basic systems without the ECM motor, etc. My question is this. Is there a functional/quality difference between the Ducane and the Armstrong?
