Drosha - Wikipedia
Drosha is a Class 2 ribonuclease III enzyme [5] that in humans is encoded by the DROSHA (formerly RNASEN) gene. [6][7][8] It is the primary nuclease that executes the initiation step of miRNA processing in the nucleus. It works closely with DGCR8 and in correlation with Dicer.

Drosha - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
Drosha is the catalytic center of the microprocessor and has two RNase-III domains that make up a catalytic site with each domain making one of the two cuts necessary to excise the pre-miRNA. Drosha excises the pre-miRNA from the pri-miRNA by cutting at the base of the dsRNA stem–loop of the pre-miRNA [82].

2016年1月14日 · MicroRNA maturation is initiated by RNase III DROSHA that cleaves the stem loop of primary microRNA. DROSHA functions together with its cofactor DGCR8 in a heterotrimeric complex known as Microprocessor. Here, we report the X-ray structure of DROSHA in complex with the C-terminal helix of DGCR8.
