Two days ago, I came across a website that sells slab rollers, which I thought could work as a substitute for dough sheeters. I sent them an email enquiry regarding its possible use as a dough sheeter. The answer that came back was negative.

2012年9月19日 · I make 24 croissants every sat morning along with 48 bagels. Its all done by hand and I laminate my dough in between making the breads on friday night. I need to get a dough sheeter to make the croissants. The results are to unpredictable and take alot of my time. I have a good idea how to construct my own.

2021年4月23日 · I've seen some interesting ones on Etsy, not sure how well they work. I want to make crossaints at home without the pain of manual rolling. I'm surprised no one has tried to enter this market with a fancy, compact sheeter machine.

2003年4月11日 · I've been looking for a dough sheeter /roller for home use for over 2 years now without any success. I even e-mailed many manufactures and begged them to make one, but with no use. I tried the pasta machine, but the gears were too weak to handle pizza dough, and they kept coming of off the tracks.

2012年12月29日 · Both work great on pizza dough, croissant dough, sweet dough, donut dough, biscuit and yes, even "pie" dough. Tom Lehmann/The Dough Doctor I saw your comment about using a 2" wooden dowel on another thread and got one from Menards for about $6 that was long enough to make 2 pie pins.
