Sprint car champion Donny Schatz never would consider himself a historian, but the accomplishments he’s earned over the past dozen seasons have etched his name in the history books as one of short-track racing’s best.

Schatz has 14 career victories in his Ford-powered Rocket late model, all of them under the WISSOTA sanctioning banner and 11 of them with the WISSOTA Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) tour.

BARBERVILLE, FL (February 7, 2024) – Donny Schatz’s 28th season with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will commence tonight at Volusia Speedway Park. After a rare winter of no offseason racing, aside from the occasional test session, Schatz says he is excited to embark on yet another tour with the Greatest Show on Dirt .

Schatz remained the class of the field on the restart, pulling away from Macedo by 10 car lengths in just one lap. Schatz continued on, leading the final 31 laps, to win the Larry Hillerud Memorial at Wilmot, his second career win at the track.
