2015年3月5日 · The F18 V4 out of Dollar Tree Foam Board is not a good build, it is pretty fragile out of foam board. I built it from DTF and the first hard landing it actually broke the wing in half even with a carbon spar. The elevator is huge and needs to be changed there is not enough material of the foam board to hold the hinge line with out ripping the foam.

I read the $ tree foam is about 3mm with no paper and plans call for 6mm form. Do you double the boards? If so do you use spray contact? Thought I'd remove the paper from one board (both sides) and leave paper on one side of the other board to transfer plans and then remove the paper from the piece after it is cut out from the board. Any thoughts?

2009年8月2日 · Dollar Tree also sells Readiboard foam, which is 20"x30" and 4mm thick. They are $1 each, and you need to remove the paper sheets by soaking them in rubbing alcohol. Once you do that, the paper will peel off as one sheet, and you can be on your merry way.

2013年1月13日 · Dollar Tree or walmart foam: It is beautiful and flat. It is also thin and brittle. It has paper on both sides that makes it strong and heavy. If you leave the paper on, you now have a heavy plane that falls apart if it gets wet. If you remove the paper, only EPP foam is weaker. It is about a dollar or 2 per sheet.
