2022年10月28日 · Haunted One doesn't make your character edgy, you can just leave it at "The character was taught bad magic unknowingly and now he's haunted by whatever it is that made the magic work". A level 1 character wouldn't be able to summon something that would destroy a whole village, even with help of his aunt and mom, which would simply be commoners.

2016年9月1日 · One of my PC is a Warlock with the Haunted One background, and whenever she wants to persuade, intimidate, etc another NPC, she simply says "I use Heart of Darkness". So this background feature (pg 209 in CoS book) says that "commoners will extend you every courtesy do their utmost to help you".

2020年1月18日 · In my experience, many DMs criminally neglect background features. For me, one of the fun things with a Haunted One is that a elicit can elicit fear, pity, or a feeling of "whatever you want, just get the hell out of here" from NPCs depending on how you play it and how game the DM is.
