2020年3月28日 · Uh, neither? Kinda open to interpretation. Don’t really think there’s a canon option one way or another. There’s a reason that Toby always uses “their/them” pronouns to describe Kris. Side note; probably a controversial opinion but Kris being male tends to be for the sake of shipping (regardless of whom is their implied partner).

2023年7月24日 · Exactly. Details are unspecified, but implied. Kris’ gender is unspecified, but it’s not wrong to assume they’re non-binary. It’s also not wrong to Headcanon that they’re not, as alternative explanations could and do exist. Toby sometimes confirms things, sometimes doesn’t.

Ikr, my character development has also impressed me lmao Like, even if it is not canonically confirmed that Kris is indeed non binary, the fact that many people think they are helps a lot to represent non-binary people and their struggle in this hell of a world, because actually believing that Kris is non-binary also contributes a lot to Kris' character's lore!

The only difference Kris has from Frisk is that they have a lot more backstory, and their implicit dialogue is given a lot more 2nd-person reaction from other characters as a means of developing their relationships with those characters. Cause unlike Undertale, Deltarune IS Kris's story.

2020年12月7日 · Perhaps. Seeing as a name in the soundtrack is called "ANOTHER HIM", Kris could possibly be male. But that's only a theory. In the game rather than soundtrack, no, it's not mentioned. I think Toby wanted to keep it where his player's character's gender is non-binary, so it doesn't matter what gender the player is.

2021年10月7日 · People seem to have different ideas about Kris' gender, or lack thereof, and identity in general. And I think that's fine. Kris is a silent protagonist; we're supposed to imprint ourselves onto the character. And I strongly suspect Toby is going somewhere with the idea that Kris is an avatar of the player and doesn't control their actions.
