The City of Dayton is located along the shores of the Crow and Mississippi Rivers and is shared between Hennepin and Wright Counties. We are a progressively growing community with a population of approximately 7,262 (based on the 2020 Census).

Dayton residents have the opportunity to participate in organic recycling. Organics recycling involves collecting food scraps, non-recyclable paper and other compostable products to be recycled into compost at a large-scale composting facility.

The City of Dayton has identified 2 roads for resurfacing 152nd Avenue North, East of Brockton Lane (CR-13), and Thicket Hills Lane North, West of Lawndale Lane North (West of 149th Avenue North) This work will be completed in Spring/Summer of this year.
