2010年11月22日 · One spot was particularly bad with mold, and that issue is being rectified. The majority of the walls are in good shape though. I'm going to be filling all cracks and crevices with hydraulic cement or masonry caulking depending on the size. Then I'll paint over the walls. If I go with the priming option, would Killz be an adequate choice?

2007年12月15日 · We live in Chicago burbs. Every winter during heavy snow after the snow melts we observe a mild dampness in one corner of the basement walls. We moved into the house 2 years ago. It appears that the previous owner had sealed/patched some water/moisture seepages in the same corner area as our home inspector had observed the patching.

If you are worried about condensation (justified), apply 2" XPS to the walls with foam adhesive and tape all the joints. This will create a thermal break between the colder block and the interior warmer air.
