2024年3月11日 · So I noticed that the Centauro only gets CL3143 rounds but the Arietes get DM53 rounds. They both have 120mm guns and the only difference is the model. With the Cenauro it gets the OTO Melara 120/45 and the Arietes get the OTO Melara 120/44. Is there some other reason why it cant use DM53 or did Gajin just not give it the round?

2020年10月24日 · Nice calculations but technically you can’t use Dm53 in the L-O calculator. Dm53 is not a long rod penetrator, it’s a segmented penetrator, segmented penetrators gain penetration with speed hence the longer barrel. Now Gaijin will most likely use the L-0 calculator and maybe bump up the numbers a bit to compensate.

2024年2月2日 · If I remember correctly from the documents I have, dm53/53a1/63/63a1/73 all use the same penetrator. The main differences are propellent used and the gun they’re fired from. 120mm dm53 is the original fired from the L44. Dm63 is the designation when fired from the L55. A1 version is with the Insensitive scdb propellent.

2020年10月30日 · Yes gaijins dm53 pen values are low and I think they know that. Gaijin used a L-O calculator on Dm53 even though DM53 is not a long rod, Dm53 is a segmented penetrator that greatly benefits at higher velocities hence the L55. This is a gros simplification but 2000m/s would increase a segmented penetrators penetration by 20%.
