Was an experiment to see if running a second sluice for 4 ft of slick plate with everything stripped would help seperate the gold from the lighter material. Honestly it worked. Thats all I can say. Need to play with it some more to see how I like it.

2015年1月27日 · It connects to a garden hose, and I have a small Tsunami 12v bilge pump that will spray water into the header box. Unlike the other design I saw, which was a recirculating sluice, I designed mine to sit in the river and use the river's water flow across the riffles as the primary water source (the pump and spray bar will just wash rocks).

2013年10月11日 · Wouldn't hurt to put a 1/2" to 3/4" tall gate across the end of the sluice to help keep the sluice fluid and stop any gold from migrating off the end. A piece of 1/2" or 3/4" angle aluminum clamped to the end makes a great gate, and easy to remove if you want to.

2017年3月6日 · One benefit of using a standard sluice configuration is it can be matted to run in low water conditions when there isn't enough water for the fluidized sluice. In my opinion you have two options: Option 1: Fluidized sluice system for normal water conditions and a sluice like a Angus MacKirk or LeTrap for low water conditions.

2011年12月14日 · Hello all, long time reader first time poster. The video is of my first recirculating sluice box build. Your constructive criticism is very welcome. This is a 30" box with an 1100 GPH 12v pump. I need 1" of incline per 12" of box, hence the bungee cords that can be slid forward/back or tied in knots to shorten etc to raise and lower pitch.
