We had a SATA disk failure and it was replaced with another 500GB drive. I'm trying to reinstall the OS now and I can't get to the RAID menu at the boot (pressing Ctrl-I doesn't do anything).

Feb 13, 2012 · Ctrl I is the RAID configuration utility. Even if you don't have RAID set up, you'll see the prompt briefly during bootup. If it's hanging at that point, one of your drives may be failing, so I would hit Ctrl I and see what it shows. If Ctrl-I doesn't do anything, boot to the F12 menu and run the Dell diagnostics on your hard drive(s).

Jun 4, 2011 · The utility screen just flashes real quick and doesn't even allow me the option to press CTRL+I anymore. I can see the "Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager ...
