NBCRNA
Introducing the Maintaining Anesthesia Certification (MAC) Program! The MAC Program is a result of ongoing collaboration with practicing CRNAs to better address their evolving professional needs while remaining in compliance with regulatory standards.
NBCRNA Certification
To begin a career as a CRNA, students need to take and pass the National Certification Examination (NCE), sometimes referred to as “the boards.” Before taking the NCE, NBCRNA recommends taking the Self-Evaluation Examination (SEE).
Students | NBCRNA
To begin your career as a CRNA, students need to take and pass the National Certification Examination (NCE), sometimes referred to as “the boards.” The NCE is designed to measure the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for entry-level nurse anesthesia practitioners.
Continued Professional Certification Assessment | CPCA
The NBCRNA Continued Professional Certification Assessment or CPCA is a performance standard assessment. It assesses your knowledge in the four core knowledge areas of nurse anesthesia practice. CRNAs in their second four-year CPC cycle are eligible to take the CPCA.
SEE Resources | NBCRNA
The NBCRNA Self-Evaluation Examination (SEE) is voluntary and has three objectives: Provide information to students about their progress in the nurse anesthesia educational program.
Longitudinal Assessment Research Study - NBCRNA
We have listened to CRNA feedback about the Continued Professional Certification Program Assessment (CPCA) and are continuously exploring alternative assessment approaches that promote patient safety and lifelong learning to meet the needs of the CRNA profession.
NCE Resources - NBCRNA
The NBCRNA administers the National Certification Exam (NCE) to measure the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for entry-level nurse anesthesia practitioners. The NCE is a variable-length computerized adaptive test for entry into nurse anesthesia practice.
Continued Professional Certification Program | CPC - NBCRNA
The CPC Program protects your ability to continue practicing as a CRNA and is designed to meet the APRN regulatory requirements of every state Board of Nursing.
Practice Assessment | NBCRNA
Assess your knowledge of the four core domains* of anesthesia practice and identify any weaknesses that may require additional study with our 160-question practice assessment. Familiarize yourself with question formats that appear on the CPCA including multiple-choice and multi-select questions.
Testing Centers | NBCRNA
PearsonVUE administers the NBCRNA's Self-Evaluation Examination (SEE), the National Certification Examination (NCE), the Reentry Examination (REE), the Continued Professional Certification Exam (CPCA), and the Non-surgical Pain Management Examination (NSPM), at testing facilities in the US and its territories.
