2019年7月5日 · The cloaker's phantasms do not change other actions, so a cloaker does not make 4 attacks while its phantasms are up. The phantasms ability simply states: The duplicates move with it and mimic its actions, shifting position so as to make it impossible to track which cloaker is the real one.

2022年7月28日 · A cloaker has 60 feet darkvision. If False Appearance would affect the cloaker's senses, it would say so under the False Appearance or Senses entry. The Senses entry says: Senses darkvision 60 ft., passive Perception 11. Therefore, by the rules, using False Appearance does not influence the cloaker's ability to see.

2017年5月10日 · Presumably, only the topside of the Cloaker is camouflaged, while on the underside are its head, evil eyes and teeth. Here's the relevant text from the Cloaker's False Appearance trait: While the cloaker remains motionless without its underside exposed, it is indistinguishable from a dark leather cloak.

Attacks that hit an engulfing cloaker deal half their damage to the monster and half to the trapped victim. The Tactics section says Engulf is usually used versus a lone opponent, but it seems like the main danger of it comes only when you have other party members hitting the cloaker. The bite deals 1d4+2 damage, and is far from an auto-hit.

2018年11月10日 · In 5e, "area" normally means two-dimensional map area, whereas a cube's dimensions define a three-dimensional volume of space, of course. So in the (poorly worded) description in RAW, to speak of the "area" of a "cube" is rather awkward, and has to be interpreted one way or the other (map area vs. cubic volume).

There are all manner of spellcasters and the like who can in the edition I'm most familiar with, but I'm uncertain about 5e, especially at the levels I'm referring to.
