CINAHL indexes the top nursing and allied health literature available including nursing journals and publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses Association. For full-text nursing and allied health journals, CINAHL Ultimate is the largest full-text companion to the CINAHL index.

CINAHL is the world’s largest source of full-text resources for nursing and allied health. It includes full-text articles from scholarly journals, as well as full-text health care books and clinical nursing skills videos.

This tutorial demonstrates the basic searching features of the suite of CINAHL databases on EBSCO host. Additional functionality available from the CINAHL Plus, CINAHL Plus with Full Text, CINAHL Complete, and CINAHL Ultimate databases is also included.

CINAHL Complete is a comprehensive database offering convenient access to 717 active full-text journals spanning various disciplines in nursing and allied health, along with evidence-based care sheets, quick lessons, and more. With a journal retail value of $265,171.55, it ranks as the second largest full-text version of CINAHL.

2025年3月21日 · CINAHL (short for the Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature) is one of the largest and most in-depth nursing research databases. It provides full-text to over 935 nursing and allied health journals, with indexing for several thousand others.

The CINAHL Subject search allows researchers to build one-line simple or complex searches while using EBSCO’s many searching features. In CINAHL ®, it is possible to incorporate CINAHL ® subject headings and Free Floating Headings in command line searches (searches that incorporate field codes).

The CINAHL® Subject Heading List (controlled vocabulary or thesaurus) provides a more effective searching capability in the CINAHL database. On the Advanced Search Screen, click the CINAHL Headings tab below the search boxes.
