Chemically induced dimerization - Wikipedia
Chemically induced dimerization (CID) is a biological mechanism in which two proteins bind only in the presence of a certain small molecule, enzyme or other dimerizing agent. [1] Genetically engineered CID systems are used in biological research to control protein localization, to manipulate signalling pathways and to induce protein activation.
Fluorogenic chemically induced dimerization - Nature Methods
2023年8月28日 · A new chemically induced dimerization (CID) pair exhibits fluorescence upon dimerization for the first time. Moreover, the CID pair is small and offers easily reversible dimerization that can...
Chemically induced proximity in biology and medicine | Science
2018年3月9日 · Chemically induced proximity allows for precise temporal control of transcription, signaling cascades, chromatin regulation, protein folding, localization, and degradation, as well as a host of other biologic processes.

2023年8月28日 · Here we present CATCHFIRE (chemically assisted tethering of chimera by fluorogenic-induced recognition), a chemically induced proximity technology with intrinsic fluorescence imaging and...
Chemically induced dimerization: reversible and spatiotemporal …
2015年10月1日 · Small-molecule perturbation of biological systems is able to tackle biological problems that are not accessible by classical genetic interference methods. Chemically induced dimerization (CID) has been used as a valuable tool to study various biological processes.
Creating Highly Specific Chemically Induced Protein Dimerization ...
Currently, only a limited number of chemically induced dimerization (CID) systems exist and engineering new ones with desired sensitivity and selectivity for specific small-molecule ligands remains a challenge in the field of protein engineering.
COMBINES-CID: An Efficient Method for De Novo Engineering of …
Chemically induced dimerization (CID) systems, in which two proteins dimerize only in the presence of a small molecule ligand, offer versatile tools for small molecule sensing and actuation. Howeve...
Ligand-induced assembly of antibody variable fragments for the chemical …
2025年2月13日 · Chemically induced dimerization is an important tool for the external regulation of biological processes in mammalian cells. Here, we describe a chemogenetic platform based on the conditional reassembly of antibody variable fragments, which we call Fv-CID switches. Those molecular switches allow for chemical regulation of gene expression as ...
