James Joseph Harbaugh (/ ˈ h ɑːr b ɔː / HAR-baw; born December 23, 1963) is an American professional football coach and former quarterback who is the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL).

The current head coach is Jim Harbaugh, who was hired on January 24, 2024. Harbaugh replaced Giff Smith, who served as interim head coach after the firing of Brandon Staley in the 2023 season.
