2017年1月18日 · The SL600Si seems to be the creme de la creme of this speaker. I'd love to find a pair because I'm sure it would be the SL6 on steroids. But, the SL6 as you said is quite good with the ST-70. Interesting you ran yours with the same amp. I definitely like the combination, you get the warmth of tubes plus the warm velvety midrange of the SL6.

2021年3月12日 · The SL6 was designed when Celestion developed a laser scanning thingy (technical term) that would "look" at the driver diaphragms and see how they were behaving. What they found shocked them. For woofers, they things like the surrounds breaking up, bell ringing modes, dust caps bouncing on their glue joints.

Ok, about the sound: First, YES is true, Celestion SL6 need a lot of power for a good sound but with the Yamaha AX892 amplifier at 115 w /8 ohmi or 160 w/4 ohmi I have a verry good matching.

They were mentioned frequently in 1980’s Stereophile issues (one reviewer I believe used Celestion SL600 as his reference speaker), and had some entries in the “Recommended” list.
