An acquaintance insisted on buying the same size and length cedar boards from a Big Box for $14.80 each. Mine are smoother, with less cracks, fewer imperfections and are better milled. Real LumberJocks buy real lumber. <grin>

2024年3月10日 · Here's another custom ordered planter. This thing is massive. I can hardly lift it. It has a planting area of 24 x 48 with almost 20" of soil depth. It is 36" tall for less bending. All solid cedar, made with 2x4's and 5/4 decking.

2015年1月31日 · For my covered deck I used pt yellow pine for the last rafter at each end and for the beams that the rafters sit in. Everything else is #2 yellow pine regular. I think it looks fine that they don't match. I don't notice. For my posts I used eastern red cedar 5×5's. I intend to paint the rafters some day.
