Cavalletta is the second restaurant for chef Nick Sherman, who also owns Trestles in Capitola. It will serve California-style seasonal Italian cuisine and wood-fired pizzas in the building that used to be Malik Williams on Soquel Drive.

Reservations are live online through Cavalletta’s Yelp page, and walk-ins are welcome as availability allows. Debut hours at 9067 Soquel Drive in Aptos (in the former Malik Williams) are 5-9pm Thursday, Friday and Monday, 4:30-9pm Saturday and Sunday (closed Monday-Tuesday).

At Cavalletta, we believe that seasonally fresh and locally sourced ingredients make all the difference. We are proud to use local farmers, fisherman and butchers in our operations and our chefs can be found foraging mushrooms or fishing in the bay themselves to give our guests the best of what coastal California has to offer.
