There's an old mural on the back of the building next to the McDonald's in Cloverdale, British Columbia (so basically you're between the mural and the McDonald's when going through the drive thru. This mural shows Captain Crook on it, and I never knew what the character's name was until now. I don't have a photo, but I will post one soon.

2023年6月22日 · I bought these last week and saw a Captain Crook but I was born in 90 so I didn’t know the character and decided to pass. But now I wish I would just got him to complete the set lol. 2020年9月15日 · In the old McDonalds commercials Captain Crook would always try and steal Filet-O-Fish sandwiches from Ronald and his friends. He fell into obscurity after the 80’s, but some people still have a fondness for him.

The characters changed over time, new ones were added. The initial 1971 characters were: Ronald, Sundae (his seldom seen dog), Grimace, Hamburglar, Goblins (seen above- their names changed 2 more times), Mayor McCheese, Officer BigMac (so looked a lot like the mayor), Captain Crook, Professor (seldom seen), Trash Cans.

2020年2月7日 · Circa 1970, Captain Crook looked like Captain Hook from Disney’s Peter Pan and tried to steal Filet-O-Fish. Officer Big Mac (who looked like a Keystone Kop) chased him and the Hamburglar. McDonald’s phased out the McDonaldland characters in the mid 1980s.

2020年4月21日 · Then McDonald's got sued by the Krofft brothers for ripping off Mayor McCheese from H R Puffenstuff. They got dropped in the mid-80s along with the Professor and Captain Crook, although they lived on as playground equipment for years

Was given away as a McDonald's Happy Meal Toy in the 80's here in South Western Ontario, Canada. I'm not sure how far the promotion stretched, but I recently found out that these weren't given away across Canada or even throughout most of the US.

Unlike the Hamburglar, Captain Crook spent his time trying to steal Filet-O-Fish sandwiches from citizens of McDonaldland while avoiding being caught by Officer Big Mac. Interesting to find him this far inland.

2019年11月10日 · There was a McDonald’s in conneaut pa that I went to as a kid. The play place had a burgler guy that you could climb into and play in. That’s the most I remember but it had all the characters and you could play on them. 10/10 McDonald’s.
