WEST YARMOUTH, Mass. – For the fifth consecutive year, an active major league player will be inducted into the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame.

As the Cape League regular season winds down, the teams that will be appearing in the postseason have been decided. The final week of the regular season will see the playoff teams jockeying for seeding and home-field advantage in their respective series, and the other teams attempting to play spoiler.

As game time neared between the Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos, all 40 Cape League All-Stars gathered along the third and first base baselines before being introduced to Red Sox fans and given plaques honoring their Cape League accomplishments.
