2022年12月19日 · if the axle is original i would consider rebuilding the axle replacing all the boots and grease with a toyota axle boot kit. it may be called a cv boot kit. it comes with inner and outer boots, boot clamp bands, and grease. videos on youtube show exactly how to do it.

2024年2月19日 · I noticed grease spat from inside edge of right inner cv boot when I rotated wheels in December 2023. Grease was very fresh. This was after car highway 39 miles, twice a day, 4 days a week, for 5 months. Shop said: If it needs new cv boot, is better to replace entire axle. Boot is ok, it is just loose clamp. Cant replace clamp.

2022年5月17日 · Both aftermarket Front Passenger CV Axles we tried (including this 11742N from AutoZone) seem to omit the Bearing Support Bracket (or maybe the Front Drive Inboard Joint Assembly? See image.). Would you happen to have a part number for one? Or advice on how to install it onto the CV Axle?

2021年9月24日 · However, you can locate older (such as 2017) axle removal videos, and then locate CV boot replacement videos. The more difficult would be the passenger side. If the original axle is still good and the joints aren't clicking, you can clean, inspect, and if everything is fine, reboot the original axles using OE Toyota boots.

2024年8月6日 · Make sure the axle is clean and dry where the boot fits around it. Make sure the inside of the boot which gets clamped to the axle is also clean and dry. You don't want any grease or dirt/debris on either of those parts. Be prepared, though, for this not to work.

2022年10月12日 · And torque the axle nut with the wheel off the ground to spec. Get a helper on the brakes to hold the axle. To make sure the wheel bearing will have its longest life. I also add a little more grease (say 0.5 oz) than the upper spec limit. But that's just me. And you might want to change out the inner axle seals while at it.

Anyways, I cant get the CV axle to budge from the motor mount and I was hoping to get some suggestions as to what I should do. I have the screw and the snap ring removed from the mount.
