2015年7月21日 · I know straight cis people haven't faced the same challenges, and pride in their is more of a default than a goal. But I like visual identifying symbols, and some part of me thinks it would be great if everyone had an identifying symbol they could get behind and say 'this is me'. I wouldn't call it a 'cis pride flag' - just the 'cis flag'.
What’s your opinion on the cis and straight pride flags?
2022年7月14日 · The only cis/het pride flags that I don't mind are ones that combine with a queer label, e.g; transhet flag, hetero ace/aro flag etc. Cishetallos don't need a flag and if they want to fly one they can just use the progress pride flag, it's easy to recognise and easy to remember.

Putting this near the top: People forget that the pride flag is meant to be all inclusive of the entire spectrum of humanity including straight and/or cis people. I've had my nails painted in a trans flag pattern this month: thumb and pinky blue, ring and index pink, middle white. That's led to conversations with some cis friends and acquaintances who noticed. Most of them didn't know there was a trans pride flag, much less what it looks like.

There's also the straight ally flag being offensive. The flag appropriates LGBTQ+ pride symbolism with straight pride. The progress pride flag with the intersex symbol is a more inclusive way to express LGBTQIA+ support without having the anti-lgbtqia+ implications.
