Cid first met Elisabeth while infiltrating the Lawless City's Crimson Tower. Having heard of the Blood Queen, he was excited to fight her. However, upon finding her coffin empty, he lost interest and left. Later, Cid returned to save the Shadow Garden members from the revived Elisabeth.

Kageni, a 6-star unit in the game, is based on Cid Kagenou from 'The Eminence in Shadow' anime. The character can be acquired by opening the 100% Egg - Dark and further evolved into Ombre with the right units.

In his delusion, he ran into a truck and died, only to be reincarnated as Cid Kagenou, the second child of a noble family. To train his skills and gain funds for his secret activities, Cid hunted down bandits, where during one of his raids he stumbled upon a "possessed", a lump of meat that was overloaded with magic.
