chw piping design - HVAC-Talk
2010年6月11日 · i'm under the impression you size the pipe to your unit flow rate correct, so i have a cust. questioning the piping feeding there fan coil units, i haven't been to the site yet, but i've heard it has low delta t's across the fcu's and not cooling very well, how would i be able to determine this, from what i remember you need 2.4 gpm per ton right, so if i have 15 fcu's and …
chw valve - HVAC-Talk
2005年7月6日 · There are also 2 way systems (hot and chilled) that use a Differential By-pass Valve in the piping which will open as the 2-way valve closes in order to by-pass water from the supply to the return, keeping constant flow through the chiller (or boiler). These valves operate by a differential controller that the Balancer sets up at job commisioning.
Is an air vent always needed at every high point in a closed loop?
2019年6月25日 · How large of a high point in a closed loop chilled water piping system would require an air vent? I am tasked to fill and start a process chiller for an MRI. It has an air vent at a high point, but I also noted the piping has another section that goes up then back down about 6 inches creating another small high point.
Collapsed evaporator tubes - anyone seen this before?? - Page 3
2019年9月16日 · I believe it is circuited left and right, but the outside tubes froze the worst since the charge was short, causing it to not have a full coil of refrigerant. We want to cut the shell open to see if the piping on the other circuit is damaged, but I'm not sure the owner will allow it. The replacement chiller is being set today.

2009年2月24日 · Hmmmmmmmmmmmm..... the hole i hide in the chw is green, the cdw is a darker blue, 'ice' water is brighter blue, reefer and natural gas is yellow, house air is silver, drainage is a darker green, fire is red
Fan Coil Unit Pipe and Valve configuration - HVAC-Talk
2012年1月6日 · A four pipe change over system changes the main coil (chw coil) over to heating at low OA temps. They run as a standard 4 pipe then at a certain condition they change the chiled water piping over to heat just like a standard 2 pipe system. The units use that as the primary heat source at that point. We have a few around here at a complex.
CVHF motor failure - Page 2 - HVAC-Talk
2011年4月1日 · 3- CHW piping on terminal end??(Giving say...10-12" end clearance on motor) 4- Penthouse or basement? 5- Storage room to store the dozen pieces removed? 6- Unit mounted Starter? 7- Vane removal tool handy? Thats just a few of the many items to be considered. It would be impossible to state "How hard" to remove/replace the motor.
Variable Primary Chiller Piping - Page 3 - HVAC-Talk
Me again! We have a 110 ton McQuay air-cooled chiller on campus serving a classroom/office building that trips on low flow or low evap temp fairly often. I've learned quite a bit from you guys about hydronics piping since I started working here, but this on is …
Why Control Valves on the Return Side? - HVAC-Talk
2006年9月30日 · is the coil lower than pumps, then possible on supply to allow head on return piping, then there is venting, hi point vents and flow requirements, most all are in the final thoughts applied to the problem, but mostly the budget for the design is biggest constraint.
Chilled water system make-up - HVAC-Talk
2012年5月24日 · I have a pretty large central CHW plant that is requiring a lot of makeup water (several gpm, continuous). No visible leak has been detected. Any other ideas as to the source of the system requiring so much water (other than a leak or cross connected to serve plumbing systems), est a 500 ton system is being served.
