Jul 12, 2009 · My c12 is 410 hp and i haul a 48' flat bed with 80,000 to 84,000 lbs. It takes a while to get up to speed and i have to down shift more often. I have another truck with c15 at only 400 hp and it out pulls my c12 pretty easy.

Jan 8, 2010 · Have a 2002 c-12 serial# 2KS94598 in a freightliner cst112 . Data plate says adv-380 hp and max hp 395. Called Ohio cat to see about a ecm flash and they said it was 395hp and they could only take it to 410. Didn't even get to a price as I didn't think 15hp was worth the hassle and he also said he doubt I would feel 15hp.

Oct 29, 2020 · I'm looking at getting a 2000 KW T800 with a C12 turned up. It currently has a multi-torque file in it set at 355/410 hp 1350/1550 torque with a 10 speed manual. It's used as a farm truck to pull grain, fertilizer, etc. Most people have recommended that we install a 430 hp/1650 torque file.

Apr 3, 2009 · It is a fine engine. We've had a 430hp C12 for about 4 yrs. Depending on the weight you will be pulling, and how fast you want to run, I HIGHLY recommend a 13spd transmission. Being able to split the top side makes a HUGE difference in pulling ability. Have 3.70 gears with ours, and gets 6.5mpg. This is in a day cab T800.

Apr 4, 2010 · We had a C12 (435hp) in our 2000 FL Classic. Great little engine. Got great MPG and pulled almost as good as some 475 C15 I ran with. Slick900 has one in a W900 with a tuner on it and it runs "pretty good" lol. He can give you the details..... I sold it when it had just over 1 million miles on it and I only put a head gasket and water pump on it.

Feb 28, 2019 · Looking for few extra hp for C12 2KS27705 or suggestions what's the best route to take. It currently has cats 455 hp 1650 tq. Truck runs all over the 48 pulling 80,000 lb. Just looking for a little extra help on the hills. I know alot of guys run a 505 hp. Don't know much about custom files, about the best I can do is flash with cat files.

May 13, 2018 · anyone do a pdi or any manifold and turbo upgrade or know anyone that did it. Cost means nothing to me. Just kinda skeptical about losing low end power. Don’t know much about these types of upgrades. Already have a 500+hp tune and truck runs with the big dogs but hey who doesn’t want more power. But that’s not the issue here.

Feb 26, 2013 · I drove an allison back in the 70s, as a young man I did not like it. As I grew older and the allison evolved, the thought of matching a C12 to an allison or the cat CX-31 is very interesting. If I was younger I would be very interested in building this type of glider. Hope you get the info your looking for.
