Brown University’s primary visual identity consists of three variations whose application is determined by the level of oficialdom conveyed by the use: the University logo, its Coat of Arms and Presidential Coat of Arms.

The Brown University Messaging Strategy and Guidelines helps advance Brown’s identity as a leading institution committed to excellence. It provides a framework for emphasizing the aspects of Brown that distinguish us from other universities.

The School of Engineering logo suite conveys the academic excellence of Brown University. The logo is offered in both horizontal and vertical orientation, in full color and black and white iterations.

2016年7月15日 · Brown’s logo is trademarked and is permitted for use by members of the Brown community for communications and marketing purposes. Affiliates or affinity groups must secure official permission from the University for use of Brown’s trademarked identity.

2005年1月25日 · Brown has established logos for University Units. These “Affinity Marks,” which are among Brown’s Trademarks, have been approved by the Office of University Communications as officially representing University Units and identifying them as being part of Brown.
