2014年10月8日 · Brown's not popular so much as it is unusual these days except on a few luxury cars. The quip would work just as well with yellow. Especially since both colors are common on one of the few cars that did offer a diesel manual wagon combo in the US, the Benz W123 series. Also "brown diesel manual wagon" basically describes a UPS truck.

2022年2月19日 · Fun story: my mom was driving down the highway with my brother and I in our "woody" station wagon way back in the early 90's and one of the wheels came entirely off. It was the rear driver side one and I remember all kinds of sparks but that boat of a machine just chugged slowly to a stop eventually.

I grew up with a 1979 brown Toyota Corolla station wagon. When I was 4 years old I broke the rear window wiper climbing up on the roof rack while pretending to be the characters from my favorite show, "The Dukes of Hazzard" In 1989 my parents traded it in for one of the first SUVs in our neighborhood, a new Mitsubishi Montero.

As opposed to our family. Also born in 1961, with an older brother and sister and a younger sister. We took road trips out west every summer in a station wagon. The back seat was put down most of the time and they put a feather bed across so we could stretch out. As we got older, my brother decided he needed more room when sitting, so that was fun.
