2009年8月26日 · I've used a lot of Briley chokes an never had any problems with them except one. I bought a Beretta Urika 2 with Optima chokes. I decided I needed a extended .005 constricted skeet choke. Ordered one from Briley an found out on the pattern board that the factory skeet choke threw a much, much better pattern than the Briley.

2008年2月27日 · Briley makes three different thinwall chokes: LEAD ONLY, STEEL, and VX. The VX chokes are steel proof but use lead constrictions (where IC is .010, Mod is .020 and so on). The steel proof chokes use the same material as the VX chokes but are constricted so that steel patterns how the tube is marked. Thus, a Mod choke has closer to .010 ...

2018年8月31日 · Briley chokes are as good as any. Choke depends on the relationship of the bore diameter versus the choke constriction. If the bore measures .729 and choke measures .719 that would be IC, same .010 constriction as a .740 bore with a .730 choke. .021 difference in choke sizes, both improved cylinder choke, but different internal diameter.

2009年1月11日 · In was told yesterday, while discussing having a 12 bore gun fitted with some retro-fitted chokes, that Briley chokes tend to produce a tighter pattern that Teague's, when one is moving up to full choke. Any evidence for this amongst the attending opinions? James

2009年9月17日 · The Carlson IC and Mod. chokes put 5% and 7% more pellets in the patterns than the comparable Rem-chokes so they did perform a little better efficiency wise. But, the Rem-choke Full put 1% more pellets in its pattern than the Carlson Full.

2023年6月25日 · To clarify, are you looking for a gun with Briley choke tubes, or are you looking for a gun with Briley thinwalls, which are proprietary to Briley when they convert a fixed choke gun to a gun with choke tubes. A way to tell if they are Briley thinwalls is to look at the threads...the threads will be "square" as opposed to standard threading.

2007年7月24日 · The statement about Briley making Beretta chokes could certainly be true but I don't have personal knowledge of that, but I do know that they make the OEM chokes for the Blaser shotguns. Either way is fine, but you still need to check the chokes no matter who made them as I have sent my share of Briley chokes back also.

2014年2月6日 · The condensed version is: The tested Briley Helix® chokes performed well, but just the same as equally-constricted conventional choke tubes. The Helix feature had no effect at all on the patterns. The trick with choke tubes is to buy chokes that give you the most confidence.
