2012年6月24日 · It shouldn't scare you! It is meant to prepare you! Many people who get new bottom/top/even partial dentures get really upset in the first couple of days, because having a brand new denture feels really strange. But I promise, if you stick with it, it goes away *so fast*.

2018年2月23日 · Hi Sammy I don’t have dentures (yet thinking of having my teeth I have left taken out & having implant dentures fitted) If I was you I would go back to your dentist your dentures shouldn’t be lose & if they are making your mouth sore I would get them checked out. I do have a Partial bottom Denture when I had that in it fitted very snug.

2005年10月19日 · 7) It sounds like you are getting immediate dentures (ie teeth extracted and the plates fitted on the same day). You will probably need the dentures relined, or new ones made in about 3 months. This is because the dentures are made as a 'guess' of what the gums will be like after the teeth come out.

2025年1月25日 · The dentist who did my consultation insisted in order to save the remainder bottom front teeth my rigid and metal framed lower partial needed to be replaced with a Veraplast partial. So a week ago he removed the tooth and placed the veraplast partial with a tooth to replace the tooth him extracted and the top full denture.

2010年8月14日 · A few months ago I had all my lowers out and got immediate lower dentures, but didn't wear them for the first few days and then couldn't get them in because my gums were still a little swollen, so if you're getting immediate dentures I suggest you make sure you put them straight in after exctractions and keep them in for at least 48 hours ...

My best friend got them when she was 40, I'm sure my neighbour has them, the cashier at the supermarket probably has them, maybe my postman has them - I don't know because I don't think about it. Nor do I care. Dentures are NOT the big deal you're making them out to be, imamess. Truly.

I'm majorly annoyed that the Dental Service wasn't able to do both jaws at the same time, but there you go, I have to go through this all over again in a couple of weeks for the bottom half, but anything is better than dealing with teeth all snapped off at gums and the rest …

2020年10月4日 · Hi @MelJJ great to hear that things have turned out so well with the top denture . I can't speak from personal experience, but from what has been posted on this forum over the years, bottom dentures tend to be harder to get used to than top dentures, mainly because of the lack of natural suction.
