Bonang - Wikipedia
The bonang is an Indonesian musical instrument used in the Javanese gamelan. [1] It is a collection of small gongs (sometimes called "kettles" or "pots") placed horizontally onto strings in a wooden frame ( rancak ), either one or two rows wide.

The bonang consists of a set of small horizontally-racked gongs, laid out in two rows. Bonangs usually come in pairs, one tuned an octave higher than the other. The lower-pitched instrument is usually referred to as the bonang barung or simply bonang, and the higher-pitched instrument is the bonang panerus.
