2020年4月10日 · I use regular string bobber stops on 8lb power pro line, and 6lb mononor fluro leader. The bobber stop needs to be wet before you tighten it. Not sure the science behind that but that combo has been the best for my walleye set ups. The bobber stop will last a whole summer and stay tight.

Make sure you use a bobber with a brass grommet in the top. The large hole in the top of the bobber will make your like much better.

2020年3月30日 · The more transparent mono line can help with live bait fishing under a slip bobber as well. For those with a more drastic hook set, fishing mono is a better fit. A braid hook set takes surprisingly little force and is overdone by many anglers. Shouldnt people always be using a mono or flouro leader for all slip bobber set ups anyway?

They would pop off if the hit the guides just right and when they did make it to the spool on a spinning outfit you had to pull the line out by hand at the spool because the line would pile up behind the stop and would not feed out on its own.

2018年12月12日 · I tried the bobber stop thing for a while for the same reasons you use and finaly decided to go to a high vis line for line Watching. You can still use a low vis leader if needed but in most cases it doesn’t seem to make a difference. As far as a bobber goes you might be better off with a second rod or a clip on bobber of some sort.

In all aspects it matters to increase control overall, increase bite detection overall, and increase functions overall. The line roller, the shape of it if it has a line groove or not. The line groove sometimes hang up on the slip bobber line string knot.

2009年6月8日 · green fireline, swivel and then about 3′ of vanish 6lb. to jig or plain hook depending on wind. Need to see that line when getting tight. Oh and if you go to devils lake go with 14lb. fireline and 12lb. vanish then pretend you are bass fishing when in that timber! Thats my favorite set-up and it worked good on Mille Lacs today!

2018年1月30日 · It’s essential with kids. Most bait shops sell hand coils of the stuff for 3-5$/coil. Only problem I have with the stuff is don’t sinch bobber stops down too much. Or else they are permanently set to that depth. X2 on the flyline. It works wonderfully. For line markers, I just use those little tip-up line markers that look like a little bobber.

2011年3月24日 · I’ve had a little sucsess using two. Another thing to think about is carry a Sharpie. If you are using the white or yellow, you can at least mark your line at required depth and re set it in little time. The sharpie on line holds ups pretty well. Do this ice fishing… alot!
