Adding "Blue Devil" sealer or any other non-approved chemicals to a motor vehicle is not necessary, a waste of money, can be dangerous (destructive) to the engine and may void the new car warranty. I've been doing auto repair since 1974.

I poured blue devil engine sealant into my engine as a quick fix for my head gasket problem. It's made the issues worse now there is what looks to be white rock salt in my radiator and heater core and in the rest of the cooling system.

2020年12月11日 · Blue devil is great but not for water pumps.I have used it many times to repair head gaskets,hell even in rotary motors.But it does destroy water pumps. 2 brand new weiand small block chevy water pumps and also 2 other water pumps after it was installed.It always made them weap shortly after using the product.

2013年4月12日 · Fill system with water, leaving room for Blue Devil. Start engine while cold and turn heat on max. Pour product in slowly (30 sec for half bottle) then idle for 50 minutes. Test drive, let engine cool, re-install thermostat and refill with antifreeze mixture. Any ideas why the thermostat needs to be removed? I plan to do it in any case.

2015年4月6日 · I am currently driving the vehicle with just water and the sealer in system. It's running cool and it's not using any water. My question is, does the sealer continue working or is it only active for the first 50 minute idle procedure (i know it is attracted to the hot spot in the system)? Does the sealer become inactive after it's a initial use?

2023年5月3日 · I'm not sure if/when Honda changes things in their engines, but for the 2000-2005 (D17) Civic engines, if the owner put anything other than Honda blue coolant in it, sooner or later the head gasket would go. I ran into this on a 2003 Civic. If Honda was still using the same head gasket style in their 2006 engines, it could have the same problem.
