Bike & Build organizes a variety of on and off the bike experiences to give young adults opportunities to become engaged in the affordable housing cause.

Bike & Build Riders are the foundation of our mission. The role is both rewarding and demanding, and we seek dedicated, tenacious folks to journey across the country advocating for affordable housing.

In addition to our contributions toward the affordable housing cause, Bike & Build has played an integral role in empowering and shaping the lives of young adults.

But it’s not all bike rides and build days—you’ll also take part in team dinners, chores, safety vehicle driving, and lots of exploration along the way. Here’s an idea of what a typical day might look like.

Between 2003-2019, Bike & Build granted more than $6.7 million to 1,450 affordable housing organizations.

The Bike & Build routes offered riders a wide variety of options. From regionalized routes to cross-country excursions, every rider would get the chance to experience some of the finest views in the nation.

Supporting a participant not only helps the individual with their goal of biking across the country or completing their program, but furthers Bike & Build’s mission to empower young adults and support affordable housing organizations across the nation.
