One of them is Dark French Roast from Addison Coffee Roasters in Addison, Texas. The other is Country French, from Calistoga Coffee Company in Calistoga, California.

She buys in the 5lb Bag, Its a medium roast, mildly acidic with a light-medium body, Bright, with notes of honey, almonds, and cocoa. A Swiss water process is used. Mar 20, 2003 · Well, dark roast is really dark, medium is not-so-dark, and light isn't very dark at all. hehehe But flavor wise, the dark roast beans tend to have a stronger, harsher flavor than a medium or light roast... If you like really dark, strong coffee, or you like making espresso, a dark roast is the way to go. I like French Roast myself...

Barrington Coffee Roasters' French Roast Costa Rica Doka Estate. Another fine roast from the same roasters. I would describe this as medium-dark rather than truly dark. Peet's Major Dickason Blend. I do like it.

Sep 29, 2004 · If you want coffee that tastes the best, take a swing over to coffee review and look for the best tasting coffees in your flavor preference (light roast, dark roast, espresso, organic, etc.). Peets is gaining national distribution and they have made dark roasts an art form.
