It's my favorite anime ever. I think it's the closest we will get to a "worthy" Berserk anime, at least for a while. The voice acting, art style, sound design, OST. Stunning, i just wish it would have continued. In fact, i would be really happy just watching the Berserk 2016 and 2017 but re-done in the way the 1997 Berserk was made. I love it.

The 97' anime basically skips over two big chunks of the story : the second part of the Black Swordsman arc in the beginning, and the chase by Midland's assassins and Wyald at the end. Disclaimer: I've watched a shit ton of animes from classics, to modern-day, and especially early 2000s. Big fan of Akira, Yuyu, HunterX etc. So take my review however you wish. Some thoughts:

But Netflix does own the global streaming rights, so… it must be releasing eventually, but why not list it with everything else? 2022年5月23日 · As someone who also watched the 97’ anime before reading the manga reading the golden age just hits different compared to watching it, firstly the anime is a very faithful adaptation of the Golden Age Arc but it removes Guts’ backstory, Guts’ training after he leave the band and completely changes the dangers the band face after rescuing Griffith.

Seinen is for Manga or Anime that is targeted at a 18–40 year old male audience. Seinen manga are distinguished from shōnen manga which are for younger teen boys, although some seinen manga like xxxHolic share similarities with shōnen manga.
