The College Barstow Community College (BCC) is an open-access, comprehensive two-year institution serving a diverse student population in the Mojave region of San Bernardino County, California.

The Associate of Arts for Transfer (AA-T) and Associate of Science for Transfer (AS-T) are new Associate Degrees designed to prepare students for transfer to the California State University (CSU) system while earning an Associate Degree at BCC.

SB 68 benefits students who don’t have a California High School Diploma or didn’t get their GED in California. Students will be able to use an Associate’s Degree or the fulfillment of the minimum transfer requirements for the UCs or CSUs to meet the requirements.

The CSU system is made up of 23 campuses across the state of California. The California State University educates 484,000 students every year and has one of the most diverse student bodies in the United States.

The California College Promise Grant (CCPG) is a form of California State Aid that waives the enrollment fee ($46 per unit) for eligible California residents or AB540 eligible students. Students must complete the FAFSA for the current aid year to determine CCPG eligibility.

The California Dream Act Application allows students interested in attending eligible California Colleges, Universities and Career Education Programs to apply for state financial aid.

Barstow Community College provides a comprehensive education for students with counseling services, accommodations and financial aid opportunities, along with a strong Student Life Club system, Transfer and Career Center and the new Teaching and Learning Support Center.

Certificates of Achievement are presented to students who satisfactorily complete certain business, vocational and technical programs (18 units or more that are part of the programs approved by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office).
