2021年5月10日 · If it looks good but you want to repaint, it’s a good substrate for more Awlgrip, rolled and tipped or sprayed. You can also consider a spray acrylic like Awlcraft2000. It can be wet sanded and touched up if damaged and is very easy to work with if you have any knowledge of spraying paint. No advice with faux teak decking.

One is we can properly prep all the way past the new edge of our paint job. the other and maybe for the described job whis would have helped, the bottom paint can be painted up just over a little of the topsides paint so waves don't slip under the topsides paint.

2016年3月23日 · I've got a 10 year old blue awlgrip painted hull. the usual small dings and etc. Awlgrip says don't wax, apparently because there is: 1.) no benefit in longevity, and 2.) the wax must be maintained. The first may be true, but it can sure look shinier, the second sounds a lot like more wax at the start of next season. not a great burden.

2009年4月3日 · Call them and ask what it was painted with before. If it was Awlgrip, you should be able to scuff the old paint, wipe it down with denatured alcohol, and spray it again with Awlgrip. Be careful with spraying Awlgrip over old non-Awlgrip paint, as the MEK in the Awlgrip will cause blisters and render your new paint job fucked.

2004年1月1日 · If moisture breaks the paint's barrier coat, it will dilute the salt. Which will allow the moisture to pocket where the salt use to be, which may result in blisters. Rubber is not stiff enough. With time it's ability to move under weight will crack the paint surface. Sand is heavy. Contact the paint manufacturer and see what they suggest.
