However, getting to know about Avast's driver updater feature, I think this may be an exception to this warning, as the software is an antivirus, not some random third-party source.

Also, there is supposed to be a year's free McAfee LiveSafe on the laptop, I can find it in Applications, yet there is no settings control and Windows Security tab states Windows Defender is the antivirus.
