2013年11月25日 · If you're using etch primer, go ahead and do your body work (with filler/bondo) directly to the metal like you said you're doing. Then spray your etching primer over the entire body including your body work. The etch primer will often dry a bit differently in color over bare metal than it does over bondo but that's okay.

2007年8月3日 · I like to use Evercoat's Metal Glaze for my final skim coat. It has a higher resin content so it spreads out smooth and thin. You could also try thinning your current body filler with resin, like plastic honey, so you can get you filler to whatever consitency you need. Either way, you should only add 2% hardener by wieght to your filler.

Other variables play a part such as quality of the product. You can put filler on something as thick as you want, how long it will last depends on you.
