You can absorb the cost of a jackhammer, for example, alot easier in 200' than you could in 20'. Will the RR ties be in the way of getting a concrete truck in? What I quoted previously was typical parking lot, No major obstructions.

2011年11月27日 · Unless it is brand new pavement, or hot out, anything goes. Any minor damage from walking a 30 ton and under excavator around on asphalt usually gets scrubbed away by the snowplows. The only place where special consideration is taken is when we have to cross curbs. A lot of our work is off of pavement in industrial and petroleum related businesses.

Pour concrete around the post bases 4-6" thick (add in some small pieces of rebar). I would make the concrete approx. 1" higher than the asphalt and use a concrete edging tool to finish.

The other plus's of mortar joints is when you pave you dont get a clean up nigtmare when the asphalt fills the space thats left when you dont install a joint and you dont get weeds growin in between the blocks creating a weed whacking fiasco for the home owner.

It was solid, we had a chunk of it that came in a cardboard bucket. When we needed some we would break a chunk off with a hammer and it had to be melted down to be used. All the stuff I see nowadays is in liquid form.
