2023年3月15日 · Shojaei et al. developed nonlocal Dirichlet-type absorbing boundary conditions (ABCs) for the propagation of elastic waves in unbounded domains [236]. Kulkarni and Tabarraei studied wave propagation in a peridynamic bar using two methods: coupled peridynamic-finite element and peridynamic formulation [237].
In this study, we propose an effective way to handle unbounded domains both with PD and classical diffusion models. For the former, we employ a meshfree discretization, whereas for the latter the finite element method (FEM) is employed.
