Indeed, even Hajime is wrong about a lot of stuff and the story of Arifureta itself can be seen as the story of Hajime slowly regaining his humanity. So Kouki was right to question Hajime in the way that he did.

After Shizuku cut the god off, Kouki returned to his senses and started going suicidal. Shizuku stopped him and beat some sense into him. After that, he finally realized that he was wrong. He felt at peace; he moved on and became better. He actually developed as a character, unlike our MC. Without a doubt, he's the most real character in Arifureta.

May 6, 2021 · Hajjme didn’t kill Kouki in volume 4 because he wasn’t really an enemy since it’s not like Kouki attacked him with the intent to kill. As for their confrontation in volume 10 Hajime spared Kouki to spare Shizuku and Kaori the trauma of seeing the man they love kill their friend/ little brother figure.

Kouki is someone who gets a rare item and a good class in an open world online game. Hajime is just someone who takes a class that has a really low floor but extremely hard to learn but very high ceiling.He mastered a type that unknowingly had unlimited potential but took extreme grinding and learning to unlock its true potential.
